Autoclave Heat Resistant Laboratory Gloves

Autoclave gloves are essential heat-resistant laboratory PPE designed for safe handling of materials immediately after steam sterilisation cycles. Autoclaves operate at high temperatures and pressure, meaning items such as glassware, media bottles, and sample trays can remain extremely hot after processing.

These gloves provide a protective barrier against high-temperature contact, steam exposure and short-term thermal hazards, allowing laboratory personnel to safely remove and transport sterilised items.

Manufactured from durable heat-resistant materials such as cotton terry, Kevlar, or aluminised aramid fibres, autoclave gloves are engineered for both comfort and protection. Many styles also feature extended gauntlets to protect the wrist and forearm during autoclave unloading procedures.

They are widely used across microbiology, clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical production, research facilities, and food testing environments, where routine sterilisation cycles are performed.

Autoclave gloves are not chemical-resistant PPE; they are specifically designed for thermal protection during sterilisation workflows.
