NE4-D Classic Stirred Digital Baths
Temperature Range : Ambient +5°C - 99°C
Clifton stirred water baths feature a digital PID temperature controller and are designed for immersion of flasks, bottles and racks in an accurate temperature environment throughout the water bath.
Clifton stirred baths are constructed using durable stainless steel, painted surfaces are powder coated with tough anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Easy to use controls that wipe clean also have an anti-bacterial finish. Immersed components are corrosion resistant.
The stainless steel tank is housed in a sturdy outer case and is supplied complete with a stainless steel shelf which provides even water circulation and temperature stability.
Energy Consumption
0.5kWh @ 37°C
(Based on NE4-8D)
The lower the figure, the less energy used. Information supplied for size and range comparison, guidance only and measured consumption at set point. Please remember that the energy consumption may vary due to factors such as location, ventilation, ambient temperatures and loading.
Controls
Featuring a bold LED display of measured temperatures in real-time and in increments of ±0.1°C, using a precision PID temperature controller. Setting for water temperature only or combination of temperature and time. Timer setting variable in 1-minute increments from 00:01 [hh:mm] to 99:59 [hh:mm] with “end” message on completion of the timed period. Time and temperature settings are retained in the memory, even after the unit has been turned off. Every unit undergoes a factory calibration at 37°C and 85°C for validation.
Heating/Cooling Information
For cooling a water bath use an accessory immersion cooler DC1-300 refer to Accessories. Where bath temperatures are below ambient we recommend a mix of glycol and water. We also recommend a lid or layer of spheres for insulation. The water bath should be used in ambient temperature 20°C. For water temperatures above 60°C we recommend that an accessory lid or layer of spheres are used for optimum performance. This will reduce evaporation and a lid will keep the samples and water free from contamination. Optimum performance saves energy by reducing electricity consumption and running costs.
