The TSC TS/15-YCS Yellow Carcass Hygiene Sampling Sponge is a sterile, ready-to-use sampling kit developed for microbiological sampling of meat carcasses. Each kit contains a 100 cm² yellow polyurethane sponge pre-moistened with 10 mL of Peptone Saline Diluent (MRD) and supplied in an easy-open stomacher pouch, allowing convenient sample collection, transport and laboratory processing.
Designed for use in meat processing plants, food manufacturing facilities and microbiology laboratories, the TS/15-YCS supports routine carcass hygiene monitoring and microbiological analysis. The pre-moistened sponge provides effective recovery of microorganisms from meat surfaces while reducing preparation time and simplifying sampling procedures.
Supplied sterile and individually packaged, the sampling kit is suitable for use in accordance with recognised carcass sampling methods, including ISO 17604, and supports microbiological testing programmes for beef, pork, lamb and other meat carcasses.
